I’m moving again. In the last few years, I’ve moved to many different cities in Australia, and I don’t think I’ll be settling down anywhere permanently for a while. Thankfully, my job is very portable. Being able to work online from any location is a nice convenience that people with more traditional careers don’t have.
Whenever I shop for any services, I always do a lot of research beforehand to find the best company in the area that provides what I’m looking for. It’s a good habit to get into. A lot of people used to go with the first company they saw in the phone book. With the advent of Google Maps, Yelp, and Truelocal, you can be a little bit more selective about which companies you choose and learn information about them beforehand.
Google led me to a company which was rated with 4.8 stars on average. Bmoved one of the higher rated removalist Brisbane companies, and I spoke to Thomas and asked him more about what they offered: “We’re a simple service. We get your stuff from point A to point B with no hassle.” Sounded like a good proposition, so I went ahead and chose them.
I had a good experience with the company, and I’m happy I chose them to relocate to Brisbane. I’m getting used to living in my new home now. At least I don’t have to find a new job! It’ll take some time to get adjusted to everything, though. I lived in Adelaide for a long time. There are some things you don’t think about before you move to a new city that affect your daily life. You have to learn new things like the public transport routes and times that can make it more difficult to adjust to your new location.
All in all, I think I’ll enjoy living here in the long run, but bear with me while I get my bearings! My postings may be a bit less frequent as I get settled in, but as frequent readers know, you can get immediate notifications when my posts go live if you subscribe to my blog with your favourite RSS Chrome or Firefox extension, or by using your own RSS program. I’m thinking about making a Facebook and Google Plus page for the blog. Would that be something you’d all be interested in? I have an old, inactive Twitter account that I haven’t used in years.
If you’re moving from Adelaide to Brisbane, definitely look up Bmoved. I don’t do a lot of endorsements on this blog, but I’ll give them a good review. Everything showed up on-time and without any issues or delays along the way. Interstate removals can be a bit chancy if you book with someone that doesn’t have a good reputation, so it’s important to look up the companies online beforehand to make sure they’ve done right by previous customers, or you could end up dealing with damaged goods, delays, and more.
